Technology-Enabled Futures of Education:

Harnessing Emerging Technologies to Enhance Education Equity, Quality and Efficiency

What is Our Program?

The national government of China has developed and implemented a number of education policies and initiatives that aim to enhance the quality, equity, and efficiency of the education system to achieve the national goal of common prosperity. This program explores how the affordances of emerging technologies could be taken up to enhance education equity, quality and efficiency in China.
Through the partnerships of The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) and the Graduate School of Education at Peking University (PKU), this proposed project will focus on three research areas that are well-aligned with China’s common prosperity framework.

Based on both primary and secondary research studies, this proposed project will deliver landscape reviews, policy briefs, white papers, guidebooks and a research agenda that examine and showcase how emerging technologies are harnessed to enhance education equity, quality and efficiency in China.
